On June 4, 2008, the Informational Technology Planning Group met to develop its final recommendations to WACTC. With the changes planned in the governance of CIS, ITPG ceases to exist and will be replaced by the WACTC Technology Advisory Committee. The ITPG Final Report reflects the substance of our discussion about the immediate steps forward for technology applications for CIS and the system, as well as some lessons learned from our several years of grappling with technology developments for administrative and instructional systems.
"The Washington State Community and Technical Colleges Information Technology Planning Group (ITPG), working with the Center for Information Services (CIS), is established to help the Washington Community and Technical Colleges realize their educational, operational and business goals by providing leadership and assistance in technology planning. ITPG will evaluate and prioritize long-term and short-term technology proposals and projects having system-wide application within the community and technical colleges of the state.
The Information Technology Planning Group is directly responsible to the Washington Association of Community and Technical College Presidents (WACTC)."
