Information Literacy
Deb Gilchrist (chair), Myra Van Vactor, Wai-Fong Lee, Mindy Coslor, Donna Campbell, Jon Kerr, Sarah Leadley

  • Take the lead in moving LMDC towards integrating information literacy into instruction.
  • Coordinate the writing, implementation, and management of LSTA grants.  Will involve coordinating grant work with the State Library.
  • Work with the Professional Development Committee for workshops or speakers on information literacy.
  • Update LMDC on new trends and information on information literacy.

 eLearning
Charlie Crawford (chair), Jeanne Leader, Mary Ann Goodwin, Cable Green, Andrew Hersh-Tudor, Ed Sargent, Tom Moran

  • Inform LMDC with trends in eLearning.  Provide relevant information from eLearning meetings.
  • Make LMDC aware of statewide issues that may affect LMCs.
  • Facilitate collaborative efforts between LMDC and eLearning Council.

21st Century Library Project
Vacant (chair), Tim Fuhrman, Michelle Bagley, LMDC Executive Board

  • Take the lead in forwarding the request for digital resources for all CTC. Involves close work with SBCTC liaison.
  • Coordinate work related to an integrated library system for all CTC.

Professional Development
Jennifer Dysart (chair), Eric Palo, Joan Weber, Lauri Kram, Sue Gallaway, Donna Campbell

  • Plan and provide speakers, workshops, on various areas of librarianship and, library administration in general as well as in the context of higher education and community colleges.
  • Work with LMDC is determining areas of interest for professional development.

Cooperative Library Project with ICCL (Public Universities)
vacant (chair), Wai-Fong Lee, Sharon Simes

  • Work with librarians in public universities on information literacy outcomes for graduates of CTC (Rising Juniors in transfer programs)
  • Participate in coordinating the library directors symposium that occurs every 2 years
