Information Literacy

- Take the lead in moving LMDC towards integrating information literacy into instruction.
- Coordinate the writing, implementation, and management of LSTA grants. Will involve coordinating grant work with the State Library.
- Work with the Professional Development Committee for workshops or speakers on information literacy.
- Update LMDC on new trends and information on information literacy.
eLearning

- Inform LMDC with trends in eLearning. Provide relevant information from eLearning meetings.
- Make LMDC aware of statewide issues that may affect LMCs.
- Facilitate collaborative efforts between LMDC and eLearning Council.
21st Century Library Project

- Take the lead in forwarding the request for digital resources for all CTC. Involves close work with SBCTC liaison.
- Coordinate work related to an integrated library system for all CTC.
Professional Development

- Plan and provide speakers, workshops, on various areas of librarianship and, library administration in general as well as in the context of higher education and community colleges.
- Work with LMDC is determining areas of interest for professional development.
Cooperative Library Project with ICCL (Public Universities)

- Work with librarians in public universities on information literacy outcomes for graduates of CTC (Rising Juniors in transfer programs)
- Participate in coordinating the library directors symposium that occurs every 2 years
